Abstract
Recently, favorable outcomes have been reported after the endovascular treatment of either ruptured or unruptured paraclinoid aneurysms. The complications specifically related to the endovascular treatment of paraclinoid aneurysms have also been reported. Visual symptoms related to the mass effect associated with giant paraclinoid aneurysms normally improved after surgical clip with decompression or coil embolization. But, these symptoms have also been reported to be exacerbated in either treatment modalities. The authors here report two case of large unruptured paraclinoid aneurysms, one who exhibited progressive visual loss occuring after endovascular coiling treatment and the other one with progressive visual improvement after clip and decompression.
