Abstract |
We report a case of multicentric glioblastoma of which symptoms chiefly complained with cognitive impairment. 73-years old male visited our hospital through other hospital due to memory impairment, disorientation, voiding urgency and vertigo for 3 months before visit of our hospital. He took nonenhanced brain MRI in other institution which showed no abnormal finding except brain atrophy. Three months later, when he admitted in our hospital due to progressive cognitive impairment and ataxic gait, he examined enhanced MRI which showed multicentric enhancing mass localized on both supratentorial hemisphere of the cerebrum. Through the stereotactic biopsy, histological examinations revealed malignant glioma (WHO grade IV). We report a case of rapidly progressing multicentric glioblastoma of which symptoms presented initially with cognitive decline so that he was misregarded as degenerative diseases such as dementia in elderly. |
