Abstract
Primary lymphoma of the bone is defined as a solitary mass lesion with no evidence of disease at other sites and no systemic dissemination within 6 months of the detection of tumor. However, primary skull vault involvement is extremely rare and the treatment was also different from other skull involved tumor. We experienced a case of primary skull vault lymphoma patient with scalp mass, firstly doubted as osteosarcoma. 72-year-old female patient admitted to our department for scalp mass on right parietal area with headache. Without any evidence of other organ lesion, solitary osteolytic mass on right parietal area was identified through imaging studies. The mass was totally removed with parietal bone. And then, the mass was reported to high grade lymphoma, favoring diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Additional chemotherapy was started, and 5 months later, we judged complete remission. In this case, we reported extremely rare case of skull vault lymphoma that firstly doubted osteosarcoma and treated by surgery and chemotherapy.
