Abstract

Although cerebral aneurysm is a common, oceurrence of aneurysm and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) of distal area is very rare. Only several cases have been previously reported and th pathogenesis remains unclear. During a six-year period (from 2000 to May, 2006) 476 patients with cerebral aneurysms were operated in our hospital. We present 4 cases of oceurrence of remote ICH after intracerebral aneurysm operation. We suggest that old age and vascular sclerotic change possibly caused hemoynamic change and subsequently resulted in ICH.
