Abstract
Hemangiomas are abnormal proliferations of blood vessels, comprising 7% of all benign soft tissue tumors. Paraspinal muscle hemangioma is an uncommon clinical entity with very few reports in the literature. The majority of lesions are small. It can present various symptoms and differential diagnosis includes lumbar disc herniation, spinal stenosis. These lesions are largely congenital, but approximately 20% are related to trauma. Hemangiomas are very rare in paraspinal muscles. Although excision is the standard treatment, conservative treatment is recommended if symptoms are non-specific.
